My Boating Experience In Sydney Australia

I just recently had my most awaited vacation in Australia. Sydney with its great beaches and inviting climate, no wonder people just keep on coming! Sydney Harbour, Bondi Beach and Balmoral Beach are just some of the great and exciting escapes we had during a vacation in Australia.

Spring and autumn is the best time to sail in Sydney. Not only is it cheap and affordable, the climate is ideal for outdoor activities. Summer is a great moment to spend and get some tan while cruising and having a vacation in Australia. As for me getting tan lines is just awesome. Not only that we went surfing, jet skiing and rode jet boats. This is definitely the most wonderful vacation this year.

Check this out! We enjoyed famous activities, places and rentals in our dream boat adventure! First we headed for Sydney Harbour Cruise. This is absolutely a first timer must! If you visit Australia don’t forget to ride this famous Sydney Ferry/ Sydney Cruise Boat. This is a sight seeing galore for tourists, passing by the great city of Australia. Some says that we should’ve gone to Darling Harbour where we can get wild on water.

Most residents there says that tourists will certainly have a wild time riding Jet boats at Sydney Darling Harbour. As for me and my hubby, we just had a stopover to Homebush Bay Wharf, where we experienced boating, pleasure and entertainment all at the same time. It’s too bad though; we didn’t pass through Bay Wharf and get to Telstra Stadium. Well they say you can travel in style with food and beverage on hand.

Vacation in Australia can be fun with boat rentals. There’s Matilda Cruises, a boating company that has a wide variety of flagship vessels. And has one of the largest Sailing Catamarans. Jet boats, speed boats, sail boats, luxury ferry; name it they have it. But we opted for Sydney Sundancer for out next ride. This is meant for luxury yachting. It is basically a private hotel yacht. It is lavishly furnished and comfy quarters so we can chill out and relax. We even had a brilliant chef who prepared gourmet delights and dishes to make our stay unforgettable.

For us quality and affordability are our main concern. That is why Holidays Afloat really gave us a big discount. It even comes up with a promo package for the whole family. With a 20 year experience in the industry, this boating company knows Hawkesbury River too well and they surely know what boat fits our lifestyle during a vacation in Australia.

Of course safety is one of our concerns. Here are some things we prepared and watched out for during our vacation and boating in Australia: Safety first. Always check your boat’s safety gear. We made sure we had the life jacket on. We didn’t drink too much because Master of the vessel should keep an alcohol limit of 0.05. We always check and make sure that navigation light is on after sunset. Setting off flares is illegal, not to mention dangerous so we strictly follow that. Wearrive and anchor early. In Sydney there is no traffic under between 8pm and 12:30 am. Midnight fireworks are often. So we had to be patient because the organizers need to make sure all the fireworks were fired before traffic can continue under the bridge. For newbies, be aware of the restricted access to Man O’ War steps in Sydney Opera House Closure. Alcohol and glass will not be allowed. A 6 knot speed limit is practiced between Cockatoo Island and Steele Point.

My husband and I surely had a great time in Australia. Sydney will always be a place where excitement, fun activities, and adventure never end. I will never forget the breath taking natural resources and historical architectures. These are certainly one of the great sceneries when you visit and have a vacation in Australia.

  1. Sydney has a lot of great beaches and its really nice because there beaches are not that crowded and overpopulated. You'll also appreciate the beauty of Sydney during night time when you cruise into the waters and watch the glimmering city lights. It's like God's masterpiece combined with human art. Wonderful Sydney.
